ACAR Committees

ACAR committees are comprised of active members who volunteer their time and expertise to help strengthen the association’s events, services and initiatives. A list of ACAR committees is below with the ACAR staff liaison(s) and description.

Awards Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Marc Lebowitz
This Committee evaluates and selects from submitted nominations, the recipients of awards for REALTORS® of the Year, Distinguished Service Recipients and other awards as determined by the committee or Board of Directors.
Budget and Finance Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Sue Rice
This Committee controls and supervises the funds and assets of the Association by periodically reviewing and evaluating all income producing activities including but not limited to financial statements, dues structure, and unbudgeted requests for expenditures.
Bylaws Committee:
 
Staff Liaison: Marc Lebowitz
This Committee is responsible for the annual review of the Bylaws of the Ada County Association of REALTORS® and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors and the general membership for any changes.
Circle of Excellence Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Judy McLaughlin
This Committee approves all applications for the Circle of Excellence Production Awards and is responsible for planning and implementing the annual Circle of Excellence banquet.
Communications Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Sarah Kestler
This Committee will work to become the conduit for member information. To inform and educate members about ACAR and its activities, and encourage participation in those activities. To promote programs and activities available through ACAR.  The committee will work to enhance the term “REALTOR®” for all association members. 
Education Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Susan Hansen
This Committee develops and administers a well-balanced education program to serve the educational needs of the membership through various programs and recommendations.
Grievance Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Susan Hansen
This Committee examines complaints referred by the Executive Officer or Professional Standards Administrator to determine if the complaint has sufficient substance and merit to warrant an ethics or arbitration hearing.
MATCH (formerly Agent2Agent) 
 
Staff Liaison: Judy McLaughlin
This committee’s purpose is to develop and deliver a monthly program relevant to the real estate industry with a focus on face-to-face networking to increase business opportunities, build relationships between colleagues, and increase professional knowledge.
Nominating and Elections Committee
 
This Committee reviews, nominates, verifies eligibility, and offers the slate of candidates for officers and Board of Directors.
Political Affairs Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Miguel Legarreta
This Committee monitors Local, State and Federal Government activities as they influence and affect the rights of private property owners and the interest of the real estate industry.  Also screens candidates for political office and make recommendations as to RPAC contributions.
Professional Standards Committee

This Committee is responsible for enforcing the Code of Ethics through conduct of ethics and arbitration hearings.
REALTOR® Outreach Committee
 
Staff Liaison: Judy McLaughlin
Works through the REALTOR® Community Foundation, promoting the REALTOR® image in the community through appropriate programs and projects.
REALTOR® Political Action Committee
 
Raises funds to support political candidates, local and legislative issues.

Young Professional Network (YPN) 

Staff Liaison:  Sarah Kestler
Organizes networking events to build professional relationships and encourage communication between colleagues.
