First REALTOR® Nationwide Open House Weekend April 10-11
Home Buying Season Kicks Off with Open Houses Held throughout the Country
Boise, ID- If low interest rates, affordable home prices and home buyer tax credit opportunities have you thinking about buying a new home, the first REALTOR® Nationwide Open House weekend April 10-11 will provide residents throughout the country with a chance to view homes in specific neighborhoods as the home buying season officially kicks off. .
With interest rates remaining at historically low levels and average home prices as low as they have been in five years, home buyers still have time to take advantage of the $8000 federal tax credit available for first-time buyers, as well as a $6500 credit for current home owners who are under contract on a new home by April 30.
“This is a wonderful way to kick off the home buying season,” said Tyrone Adams, Chairman of the Nationwide Open House Committee. “These opportunities won’t be around forever. If you wait too long, interest rates can climb and make your home less affordable. This is a great time with tremendous opportunities for those who may have been priced out of the market a few years ago.”
The first REALTOR® Nationwide Open House Weekend, April 10-11, will provide potential home buyers with an opportunity to view homes throughout their targeted communities and obtain information and answers to questions about specific homes, market conditions and the home buying process. If you want to visit specific neighborhoods, check with a local REALTOR® in advance for the Open Houses scheduled in targeted neighborhoods.
